With the release of the 3DS impending, it was recently confirmed that a psuedo-3D game for the DSi will be released overseas on May 17.
For us, it’ll be called Looksley’s Line Up. Using the camera built into the DSi, players are able to find shapes (such as letters, in the above example) within a background made up of cutout layers. Similar to the 3DS, it promises a 3D game without the need for glasses.
The writer of the Kotaku article brings up a good point: if 3D can be done on the DSi, is there even a need for a new console, or is this just meant to wet our appetites for the games that are to come?
