Zelda: A Link to the Past, Present, and Future
Posted On 18 Nov 2011 By admin
An article over at Industry Gamers talks about how Zelda has influenced many people in the video game industry and that if it wasn’t for Shigeru Miyamoto, many of these people would’ve never had the inspiration to follow their own dreams. Here is an excerpt of that article talking about it. Like many children, the [...]

Nintendo Releases Skyward Sword "How to Play" Video for Tom McShea
Posted On 18 Nov 2011 By admin
YouTube Mirror Okay, maybe not just for Tom McShea, but Nintendo has released this instructional "How to Play" Skyward Sword video on the official Wii YouTube channel. Man, just imagine if this video had come with the game on DVD - just like they did With Galaxy 2. If that had happened then we might just be seeing a 9/10 review from GameSpot. The timing of this video is just so perfect that Nintendo must have realized that a dummed-down instructional video for the McSheas of the world is a wise move. Enjoy......

Our Skyward Sword Give Away Finally Reaches a Happy Ending
Posted On 18 Nov 2011 By admin
I was going to say something really corny in the title like "Zelda Informer - making dreams come true", but we'll just stick with "happy ending". Although, with Skyward Sword just arriving, it is far from an ending, especially with the amount of content the game boasts. Nevertheless, for those of you who remember, back in May we had a competition through our Facebook page, where the winner scored themselves a free copy of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Limited Edition. Our lucky winner was Jasmine Jackson from England, and with Skyward Sword now available in Europe, we finally get to see our prize delivered. Come on inside for the full story, the higher resolution picture - because pics or it didn't happen - and details on our current 3DS + Game Giveaway....

Skyward Sword: 20 Years in the Making?
Posted On 18 Nov 2011 By admin
Remember the Legend of Zelda Comic Book that came out in the early 90s? It was released in monthly installments as part of Nintendo Power magazine and it ran for 12 issues. Looking back at it now… there seems to be something that remarkably resembles Skyward Sword. It seems even in the early 90s, Nintendo [...]

We’re Back and Ready for Action
Posted On 18 Nov 2011 By admin
I get knocked down, but I get up again, you're never gonna keep me down! Well folks, there's no need to sugercoat the story. Our site was hacked (read: attacked) in the early hours of this morning. We were also DDoS'd (Distributed denial of service) at the same time. These initially caused the site to get a 503 error every time you tried to visit. Afterwards the site went into an endless loop of refreshing before any pages would load. Thankfully, Nate managed to get the site back up, although our posting interface wasn't working. It is now all back and fully functional, including the forums. If the site still shows some signs of glitching for you, clearing your cache should do the trick. Dennis is now working through the situation and taking measures to ensure it won't happen again. So, we'll be gradually returning to our full news coverage throughout the rest of the day. We give our sincerest apologies for all of these hassles, as we know many of you rely on us for all the latest Nintendo news. We'll soon all be back on our two feet and dominating the interwebs as always. I'll allow Nate...

IGN has finally posted their second Zelda: Skyward Sword special Podcast! This podcast features minimal spoilers; so minimal that they are more impressions and opinions on the game in general.
