Additional Photos of Nintendo’s Zelda Room
Posted On 27 Nov 2011 By admin
If you remember, the other day we posted a video featuring the newly refurbished Zelda room at Nintendo of America's headquarters in Redwood City, CA. We now have some additional photos of the room. Nintendo commissioned i-am-8-bit to redecorate the room in honor of the Legend of Zelda's 25th anniversary. As such, the room features various Zelda elements from throughout the series. Not only are there references to Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, but you'll even spot Skyloft, if you know where to look....

Remember back in the day when we had to just push the A button to use our sword in Zelda? Seems like it was just yesterday and now we can actually really get into our swordplay and move with the game! What better way to make that change even better than to have someone who [...]

Pink 3DS Model Spotted in Toys R Us Ad, Bundled with Nintendogs + cats
Posted On 27 Nov 2011 By admin
My wife's been kind of hesitant to pick up a 3DS of her own. A lot of it has to do with the obvious reasons: "Where are the games?", "Gee, that's expensive", etc. Honestly, I can't blame her. (Personally, I would have waited for the limited edition Ocarina of Time 3D bundle had I any assurance it would be here for the holidays.) But when I told her about the Coral Pink 3DS model that had been announced overseas, I actually managed to coax out a trickle of excitement! She's not as girly-girl as you might think based on that reaction, but she likes pink nonetheless. An ad in a Toys R Us catalog reveals that the pink model is coming to U.S. shores, bundled with Nintendogs + cats. The listing is for a "Rose Metallic" model, which could be the color's official name in the States, or just an erroneous copying of the pink DSiXL model's name. We've yet to hear anything from Nintendo themselves on such a bundle, so we'll wait and see whether this is legit, but the pictured packaging definitely matches the U.S. boxes' appearance. If only it came with something besides Nintendogs... Then maybe...

Zelda Informer Facebook Q&A – For Death & Glory!
Posted On 27 Nov 2011 By admin
Last night I thought of trying out something different - a Facebok Q&A session! I let the post brew over night and was greeted with a few nifty questions in the morning. So let's kick the day off with some nifty answers! Q&A sessions are always fun, and I will definitely be doing more over our Facebook page, so be sure to hop on here and press the elusive "Like" button. Do not expect any sort of schedule on this thing, it'll be mostly spontaneous, but I'll make sure that the question post remains active for at least a full day before compiling the article. So, without further delay, let's see what the residual Facebook stalkers have to ask!...

CNN Reviews Skyward Sword, Best Joke of the Year
Posted On 27 Nov 2011 By admin
"This is why massive news outlets have no business reviewing a game". This was the exact phrase with which this review has been shown to us in the Skype staff room last night. After the laughter died down, about twenty minutes later, the only feeling that was left was bitterness. I came to realize just how many people read CNN's website every day and use them as a credible information source. It's sad just how many people will see that review and base their opinion and purchase on it, despite every single paragraph having some sort of factual error, or hilarious display of ignorance about the game or the franchise. Hop inside for lulz....

Sony Developing a New Title Like Super Smash Bros.?
Posted On 27 Nov 2011 By admin
Well, look at this! The Smash Bros. franchise is getting a bit of spotlight time as of late. Apparently, Sony is trying to get into the game and create their own version of the hit Smash Bros franchise. Now, I personally think that Nintendo should be the only team that makes this type of game, but that does not mean I'm not interested at all. I'm rather curious to see how far off the ground this project will go. Will it woo over the fans like Nintendo does it, or will it be a flop, worthy of being a discount bin game? More information after the jump....
