Vote For Skyward Sword In G4TV’s Best Of 2011!
Posted On 29 Nov 2011 By admin
It's come down to Link versus Batman! I never thought I'd see the day where the Hero of Time would be squaring off against Gotham City's (or rather, in this case, Arkham City's) super-hero vigilante with no apparent superpowers, but here it is! Show your appreciation for Zelda (hopefully) by voting in G4TV's Best of 2011 online poll! If not, you can always vote for Batman, but I mean... well, this is a Zelda website, so we'd rather you didn't. Give Zelda the boost it deserves to beat out the dark knight! It's a free country though. So I mean, do what you like. Currently, and I mean at the moment, Batman is beating out Zelda by a little chunk. Where Batman: Arkham City stands at 59% of the voters' votes, Skyward Sword inherits the remaining 41%. Which means, according to the wonderful laws of mathematics, that you only need to push 10% more voters to boost Skyward on top. We encourage you to try! Do everything you can, tell your friend(s), get the word out! This is Zelda's honour we're taking about here! If Zelda manages to beat Batman, this would mean the Wii's top game for 2011 will...

The Best Zelda Medley You Will Ever See
Posted On 28 Nov 2011 By admin
Youtube Mirror I'm not a man of light words, as some of you might know. I nitpick, I bitch and I hate pretty much everything I can squeeze any sort of complaint out. So please do read the title of this post again and try to understand just how awesome this arrangement and video are for me to make such a bold claim. Music wise, yes, you might have heard better arrangements, but combined with the awesome video, this really packs an incredible punch. I'm not even gonna do any sort of analysis, I'll let you check the video out for yourself, because you're not allowed to skip this by law....

Vigil Talks About Putting Darksider’s 2 on the Wii U, Crazy Controller Ideas and Ease of Development
Posted On 28 Nov 2011 By admin
I am sure as we get further into 2012 we are going to see a lot more in regards to development of the Wii U, but it interesting hearing first hand from people who worked specifically on the platform that it's extremely easy to develop for. That's always a positive sign. The only discouraging prospect from this interview is that Darksider 2 was fully functioning and operational before E3, and Nintendo chose to not show it off. That's always a bit of a downer because the one thing the Wii U could of really used on the show floor is a presentation of a actual game people know about running with new controls. Of course, it is possible they didn't finish the full port in time for Nintendo to change their E3 plans at that time. Still, it's enticing and encouraging to hear direct from developers just how supportive Nintendo is being in the entire process, and how simply and easy they made the development UI for the game makers. It's also absurd the amount of ideas they bring up for uses with the controller down the line, and really how it just scratches the surface. I know people...

Rumor: Game-Breaking Glitch Discovered in Skyward Sword? Help Us Investigate!
Posted On 28 Nov 2011 By admin
It's happened. Reports are trickling in from various discussion boards that there's a game-breaking glitch in Skyward Sword, on the level of the infamous cannon glitch from Twilight Princess. We're not 100% sure what causes the glitch yet, but it involves the non-linear quests in the very last stretch of the game. Apparently sometimes, when you complete one of the quests before the other(s), the cutscene triggers needed to finish the other quest(s) get skipped, making it impossible to progress. To help combat this problem, we're soliciting for anyone who has tons of time on their hands - preferably with experience locating bugs - to help us figure out what causes this glitch and whether there are any in-game workarounds. I also recommend anyone who wants to avoid this glitch to read over the details and our current recommendations for avoiding it. Yes, there are some spoilers, but we think it's worth it to risk getting a minor part of the story ruined than to ruin the game altogether. Hop inside for details....

Sonic the Hedgehog at the Macy’s Day Parade. No Zelda Float?
Posted On 28 Nov 2011 By admin
If you happened to catch the Macy's Day Parade on Thanksgiving this year, then you've already seen Sonic the Hedgehog flying through the streets of downtown New York City. If not, we have a ton of high-quality photos of SEGA's float from the parade. Sure, while it's cool to see Sonic in float form, or to see any video game character in float form, I can't help but think Nintendo missed a golden opportunity here. This year alone, the Kid Icarus series and Sonic have both had awesome floats, but Zelda did not. ...
