Zelda Continues To Evolve: Wii U Zelda Will Challenge The Series’ Conventions
Posted On 01 Dec 2011 By admin
We were under the impression that Skyward Sword would be the game to mix up the Zelda formula... and in many ways, it achieved that, not just through the revitalised combat system, but in dungeon design, overworld progression and general game structure. Well, it seems as though series director and lead man Eiji Aonuma is keen to have the series continue its evolution with the next big instalment in the series, on the Wii U. Aonuma encourages fans to "expect big things" with the next game, which will also be the first high-definition entry in the series. Whichever way you look at it, it's wonderful that Aonuma is already thinking about the next Zelda project! Let's hope development on that game begins momentarily... after all, you'd remember that development on Skyward Sword had initiated right after Twilight Princess hit the market. Head on inside for the translated quote by Aonuma-san....

The Legend of Zelda: The Missing Link Comic
Posted On 01 Dec 2011 By admin
Recently featured on Dorkly was a comic about the controversial topic that is The Legend of Zelda timeline. Done by internet artist, loldwell this funny comic strip pokes fun at the many timeline theories that float around the internet, and that to my knowledge no one has created a timeline with no flaws whatsoever. Rayman Origins Review
Posted On 01 Dec 2011 By admin
In contrast to the "we'll take whatever you can throw at us!" mentality that has been a requirement of Wii owners this year (with the exception of Skyward Sword, obviously), last year was in many ways a boon for Wii owners. Nintendo and several affiliated developers were tossing out their greatest masterworks. Last year alone, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns and Kirby's Epic Yarn pretty much locked up and sealed away the 3D, 2.5D and 2D platformer, respectively. After that kind of banner year, it would be hard for any platformer to make a mark, much less a multiplatform, French platformer (OK, calm down, the French joke was in jest. I live in Canada, for pete's sake!) But here we are with Rayman Origins, the first game in the Rayman series since Rayman 3, a platforming star of yore whose fame has faded. Unlike Donkey Kong, there were far fewer people calling out for a return of this limbless hero. Sucks to be them, because Rayman Origins is absolutely one of the best platformers of the last several years....

Left 4 Dead 2 Kokiri Forest Mod Walkthrough… Sorry, What?
Posted On 01 Dec 2011 By admin
Uhh... what? Is this actually happening? It would certainly seem so. I find it strange how people can take the worlds they grew up in during their childhood, in classic video games, and translate those into modern games, altogether somehow making them feel completely as though they were meant to be in the game in the first place. Like, the Hyrule Field map mod in Halo, I mean, seriously? Some people are just so clever. Which makes this hour-long video completely worth watching, as YouTube user "supershadowheroE3" gathered some friends around to fight hordes of crazed zombies in the Kokiri Forest, as well into the Great Deku Tree. I mean, why not, right?! There's also some pretty sweet commentary, if you're into that sort of thing. Get around it....

Another Major Glitch Discovered in Skyward Sword, Help us Investigate Again
Posted On 01 Dec 2011 By admin
Of course this involves spoilers, but nothing major. It's better to be informed with minor spoilers than to proceed taking such a risk. There's no doubt that Nintendo can develop fantastic games, however they don't seem to have much luck when it comes to releasing glitch free Zelda games. There was the infamous cannon room glitch of Twilight Princess, and we're still trying to discover the precise cause of the Skyward Sword Song of the Hero Glitch. Well, now Mickey of Nintendo Fuse is claiming that there is another major glitch that occurs during the Tentalus fight on the SandShip where the battle reaches a stalemate and you cannot defeat him. Come on inside for some videos, what Mickey has to say, and my suspicions of how this occurred and how to avoid it. ...
