The topic of this video is Skyward Sword’s similarities to Twilight Princess. Even when I was still in the early portions of Skyward Sword, I had already begun to think that the game was very similar to Twilight Princess, and now that I’ve completed the game I only think so more. I think that, in a way, Skyward Sword is Twilight Princess’ personal sequel, sort of like how Majora’s Mask was a sequel to Ocarina of Time and how Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks were sequels to The Wind Waker.

Of course, Skyward Sword is actually a prequel, and one for the entire series, but I think in terms of how the game is designed, it’s actually, in terms of themes, style, and gameplay, more of a follow-up to Twilight Princess than Ocarina of Time or any of the other games.
