The Timeline is Revealed, So Now What Theorizers?
Posted On 15 Jan 2012 By admin
There has always been an unending amount of topics to discuss and theorize about in the Zelda world, but chief among them has always been the order of the time line and the many defenses for and against them. In fact, the official timeline coming out has halted our progress on our own theorizing section as we have to re-purpose the entire area. Of course, this naturally begs the question if the Hyrule Historia timeline is flawless. It's not. It is official, it's canon, and there is no denying this is the timeline Nintendo goes by. But it's far from perfect, just like all the other timelines we have seen over the years. So there is plenty debate you can do about "defending" and "debunking" the official timeline, even if, in the end, it is indisputable that this is what the official timeline is as it stands today....

Rumor: THQ Cancels All 2014 Projects, Looking for a Buyer
Posted On 15 Jan 2012 By admin
This is a rather interesting development spurred from trusted contacts on Twitter, and is being compiled over at NeoGAF. It appears all known projects for 2014, including an MMO, have been completely canceled and THQ is now shopping themselves in Asian markets to try and increase the overall value of the company. THQ has been around for quite some time and while sales haven't been as stellar as usual, it still feels odd to think they may be on the way out. Keep in mind that THQ are the folks making Darksiders 2, and the first one was relatively successful. They also made Saints Row The Third, which is another great title but hasn't performed to the usual sales standards. They also run the WWE and UFC official games, and a slew of other titles that suggest things should be alright. If this is really the beginning of the end of THQ, it's really a sad way to see them leave industry. Of course, this is all a rumor. Naturally they could see increased sales this year and everything financially could turn around....

15 Bit Gamer: Sheik-Inspired Hoodie
Posted On 15 Jan 2012 By admin
The folks over at 15 Bit Gamer have recently made available a Sheik-Inspired Hoodie. Selling at the price-point of $54 dollars plus shipping it perhaps is a bit more than I’d be willing to pay. I’m still on the fence as to whether or not I’m going to purchase it, but 15 Bit Gamer has [...]

For 54$ This Wisdom "Sheik" Styled Hoodie Can Be Yours
Posted On 15 Jan 2012 By admin
The folks over at 15 Bit Gamer have recently released this brand new Sweatshirt Hoodie that screams Zelda love in all the right ways. 54$ is a tad pricey, but it's reasonable considering the quality and uniqueness of the product. I've already ordered mine and I plan to wear it to E3 later this year. It's sleek, it's sexy, and it's totally Sheik. ...

Video Game Vault: Super Smash Bros.
Posted On 15 Jan 2012 By admin
Get More: GameTrailers.com, ScrewAttack - Video Game Vault: Super Smash Bros., PC Games, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 I've always been a pretty big fan of Screw Attack and it's many shows, and this episode of VGV is stellar. Why? Oh because despite offering nothing new in looking back at one of Nintendo's key franchises, it gives us an excuse to talk about Super Smash Bros. The original. The best. It's scary to think that at one point the game was slated to be Japan only. I mean, really? Nintendo had such a lack of faith in the entire concept that they didn't think it would actually sell that well world wide. Well, boy were they wrong. It saw rapid success out the gate, and pretty much forced Nintendo to have to spread it overseas or see the wrath of fanboys the world over. Video Game Vault doesn't lie: It is possibly the greatest decision Nintendo has ever made in regards to localization. Forget Xenoblade and the Operation Rainfall stuff, or even our own pleas with Operation Moonfall. If something sells enough, Nintendo will deliver it to our hands....

Zelda Informer Mailbag #4 – Aren’t You Over Skyward Sword Yet?
Posted On 15 Jan 2012 By admin
IMPORTANT MAILBAG INFORMATION: Potential mailbag questions are now to be sent to: dathenboccabella@gmail.com . The comments section is now for further discussion of questions and answers from that specific mailbag. Feedback and comments on the operation of the mailbag can be left in the comments also. Just remember that QUESTIONS ASKED IN THE COMMENTS WILL NO LONGER BE ANSWERED. Welcome to our fourth mailbag. Hopefully you have taken note of the above, and moving forward can keep it in mind. Now, for this mailbag to really work you all need to get involved: ask questions, read answers, spread the word, comment, discuss, leave feedback, talk about it, rinse and repeat. This time around, for the fourth week in a row, it is pretty much all about Skyward Sword. There's a few sprinklings of Zelda question here and there as well. Something else to remember is that Zelda Informer is NOT just a Zelda website. Sure we started as a Zelda site, but now we're a leading Nintendo news source. If you're wondering why the name hasn't changed, it's for the same reason IGN is still the 'Internet Gaming Community' and not IEN, the 'Internet Entertainment Community'. Changing names is...

Replica Shield and Sword From The Legend of Zelda
Posted On 15 Jan 2012 By admin
Oh my GOD. I am a huge fan of these kinds of things. Apparently there are replica items from the Legend of Zelda franchise going on sale at this store, called Big Bad Toy Store. I have replica swords from certain anime shows, replica lightsabers from the Star Wars franchise, some custom made, etc. I still wanted a Master Sword to complete the collection. Apparently at this store, you can buy a replica Master Sword for about $45. The Hylian Shield in the picture is $75. Looks like I had better save up that money!
