Posted On 02 Feb 2012 By admin
GameTrailers has released their official review for the Nintendo 3DS and Capcom's Resident Evil: Revelations. While more than a few reviews for the new Resident Evil title have made their way online, this is the first video review (at least that I know of) that walks through the pros and cons of the game in detail. ...

Swapnote/Nintendo Letter Box Was Originally Developed For The DSi
Posted On 02 Feb 2012 By admin
I've been having a lot of fun with the Swapnote feature on my Nintendo 3DS. I keep drawing pictures of pokemon and Zelda characters to show off to my friends. They are jealous. In the recent Iwata Asks, Daiji Imai shared that the fun messaging system was originally developed for the Nintendo DSi. There were a lot of technical implications in bringing it to the DSi though, which was why it was put on a back burner. The DSi system doesn't have quite as friendly of a freind's list as the 3DS. You had to manually access the server all the time to check whether you had an update or not. Not only that, but you could only register eighteen friends as a time. You'd often have to check your system through the software only to be disappointed to see you didn't have a new message. I personally wish I had more artistic freedom with the Swapnote feature. In his statement, it was also shared that multiple colored pens had been explored. The reason they did not go with that is because the controls became complicated, and the feature would turn more towards those with artistic skill instead of a...

Game Gear Games On eShop Real Quick-Like
Posted On 02 Feb 2012 By admin
Remember when Nintendo said they were going to bring Game Gear downloads to the eShop? Turns out it's happening sooner rather than later. Tiny Cartridge reports that two Game Gear games, Shinobi and Sonic Triple Trouble have been rated by the ESRB, which means that their release on the eShop is drawing near. How soon they'll be released is up in the air - Nintendo rarely releases digital download information more than a week in advance. Having never owned, played or really even seen a Game Gear except for a broken one in for repairs in a Saskatoon used game store (you know the one!), it's somewhat exciting to me to be able to play Sega's little curio. And all without the Game Gear's notoriously terrible battery life! Wait......

The Hero of Hyrule – Episode 4 (3D Animation)
Posted On 02 Feb 2012 By admin
The fourth episode of the Hero of Hyrule is now available and this one shows off Ganon and his minions jamming to the Death Mountain theme. If you ever wanted to see a Legend of Zelda Guitar Hero, then this is the closest thing to it. I’ve really enjoyed the Hero of Hyrule series up [...]

Nintendo Download Update for February 2nd
Posted On 02 Feb 2012 By admin
The list of new games coming this week is small, but has Sakurai Samurai: Art of the Sword in it. I will not complain, because I've been reading reviews about it and find that I will definitely love to play it. As the heroic title character, you'll travel a world rife with cherry-blossom beauty--and deadly danger--to rescue the legendary Princess Cherry Blossom. Her kidnapper has set dozens of blade-wielding henchmen in your path, and you'll have to exercise your best battle senses to defeat them and save her. Learn to predict your foes' moves, deftly dodge their attacks, and create opportunities for devastating counterattacks. Mutant Mudds was last weeks download choice of the month for me, and this month I'm going to be downloading Sakura Samurai. Nintendo Zone Will Be Sharing Pokémon Episodes And Game Demos
Posted On 02 Feb 2012 By admin
For those that haven't tried to make use of their Nintendo Zone feature on their 3DS, like me, you might want to change your mind. Nintendo of America has revealed that starting February 6th, Nintendo Zone will offer a variety of new content. What sort of new content will it be featuring? Pokemon content, that's what. Nintendo Zone will have a dedicated Pokemon section that will feature full-length episodes of the Pokemon TV series. I don't really watch the TV series anymore, but hey, if it's on my 3DS I might take a peek. There will also be playable demos of select Nintendo 3DS games available as well. With more than 29,000 locations at various restaurants, coffee shops, and hotels in the United States and Canada, it shouldn't be hard to get your hands on the new content. If you're not sure where to find a Nintendo Zone location, click here. To see the press release, clickity click the jump!...

Time To Pretty Up Your 3DS
Posted On 02 Feb 2012 By admin
Nintendo has announced a release of an extremely pink Princess Peach carrying case. I have a dislike towards the color pink, but I'm sure many young girls and princess lovers would love to have this. The case is set to go on sale in Japan on March 1st for ¥1,800. It is officially licensed by Nintendo and is part of the Character Case for the Nintendo 3DS series. There is yet to be an announcement about sending the Character Case series to the West, but I'm sure it will come over eventually. It's a case. It's pink. It will sell....

Xenoblade Chronicles Finally Has A Set North American Release Date
Posted On 02 Feb 2012 By admin
That's right! The day after I post a Last Story trailer, Xenoblade Chronicles gets its official release date. The game is coming to those of us in North America on April 6th. With it being only a little over two months away, I find that very appealing. It wouldn't surprise me to find that many of you are excited. It is one of the games that we fought for localization last year, and its finally coming. Others don't really care, and don't find the game very appealing. Luckily for us here at Zelda Informer, we have staff all over the world. Dathen was kind enough to review the game, and you can see a few of his impressions here. Just remember that it is his opinion, for some claim it is the best JRPG of the year....

The folks at The Insatiable Geek have recently posted their very own recipe for the medicine of magic from Legend of Zelda. The recipe includes various alcohols and flavors which create a green mix drink that very closely resembles the well known green potion from the series. However absolutely no chu jelly is required nor [...]
