Hyrulean Lore: Ocarina of Time
Posted On 20 Jan 2012 By admin
Welcome to the second part of the Hyrulean Lore series. Following the theme of the previous article, which focused on Skyward Sword, today's article shall dive into the lore of Ocarina of Time, perhaps the most celebrated title in the Legend of Zelda series. Being the first 3D title in the series, as well as introducing the series to a broader audience through the Nintendo 64, Ocarina of Time had a large role to play for the development of the series upon release, particularly by presenting an enthralling story for everyone to enjoy. It introduced many new pieces of history for the series that set up for titles such as Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, as well as building upon the lore established in previous titles such as A Link to the Past. ...

Metal Gear Solid Limited Edition 3DS – Exclusive to Konami
Posted On 20 Jan 2012 By admin
Fancy getting your hands on a limited edition 3DS console with the Metal Gear game? The Metal Gear Solid console is an exclusive to Konami and will probably not hit retailers. Basically, you'd have to enter a raffle to get it, and when you win the raffle, you are required to pay for the system, which is 22,980 Yen. It's a nice console, but I don't think it's too great that we have to purchase it after winning a raffle. To enter the raffle, you'll have to go to the Konami Style e-shop. The cutoff date is: February 3 Konami will announce the winner on February 10. Source: GoNintendo via Andriasang...

U.S. Justice Department Shuts Down Megaupload, Why This Should Make You Angry…at Megaupload
Posted On 20 Jan 2012 By admin
Internet users all across the globe have gotten themselves in quite a rage over the recent shutdown of infamous hosting site Megaupload by the U.S. Justice Department. Many seem to believe that the action constitutes an outrage on the level of SOPA. Notorious hacker group Anonymous has retaliated by breaking into the Justice Department's website, as well as the websites for Universal Studios and the Motion Picture Association of America. But if you look at the facts, this isn't an arbitrary shutdown - this is the result of a more than year-long investigation that's produced plenty of incriminating evidence. You can read the full text of the indictment here for details, or just hit the jump for an (admittedly basic) explanation of some of the key points....

Rejected Zelda Companions
Posted On 20 Jan 2012 By admin
Any Legend of Zelda fan knows how annoying some of Link’s companions have been in the past. They nag you constantly about minor issues, shouting “Hey! Listen!”, laughing at you through the Wiimote, or just spouting some gibberish that nobody on the face the planet can understand. I don’t think that these guides were put [...]

Pokemon + Nobunaga’s Ambition Official Trailer And Game Details
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
This is a game that I would love to see do well. This combination came as a surprise to me, and watching this trailer only piques my interest more. It was weird enough to see Nobunaga and other historical figures paired up with Pokemon, but it was also recently revealed that it was originally Pokemon Musou. Most of you would probably know that better as the Dynasty Warriors franchise. Don't think that Pikachu will be riding on the back of a Rapidash slashing at the enemy. A fun thought, but not quite what the designers were thinking. Sort of like how in Nobunaga, the characters don't weild weapons in the Sengoku game, they do have Pokemon. The game is set to come out on March 17th for ¥5,800. If you're curious for more information and want to see the trailer, clickity click on the jump!...

Harvest Moon 3DS Official Site Got Another Update
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
I'm so excited for this. I've been playing Tale of Two Towns on my 3DS for the past week, mostly trying to get Kana to propose. MAQL has updated the new Harvest Moon game's official website once again to reveal a new love target, as well as more detail on how the courting component works in the game. The new marriage candidate's name is Neil, and he looks to be the cool type. You know how it is. He's calm and cool, but has a soft spot for animals. What a dreamy red eyed man. The update also goes into detail about family life, as well as a few more screenshots. To see the full update including screenshots, clickity click the jump!...

Kid Icarus Uprising: New Details, Screenshots, and a Gameplay Trailer
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
Just when we thought we would never know anything more about Kid Icarus: Uprising until launch, Nintendo decided to shove a new media blowout out the door. This new press pack comes with tons of new details, including difficulty adjustment settings, tons of new screenshots, and a brand-new gameplay trailer. I've got to say, this game might have just leaped back onto my hype radar. That's not to say I've ever really lost excitement for the game. My experience with Uprising at E3 was nothing short of heavenly. But it's good to see that there's still much more to the game than Nintendo's let on so far. Hop inside for a press release with more new screens and the trailer....

Allegories in Architecture: Revisited
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
It’s a secret to nobody! In my last post regarding the Architecture of the Ancient Cistern, I made it all the way to Dungeon 9 – and after a cursory glance at my map (and some help from the loyal readers of Zelda Dungeon), quickly realized that I had left several rooms unvisited…and some not [...]
