3DS Demo Download Guide and Nintendo Download Update for January 19th
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
So I know most people are psyched for the demos that are in the Nintendo eShop now. There are actually a few rather decent games coming to the North American downloads, so you should really check out the list I have after the jump. I've actually already hit the eShop up to check out where the demos are located. The moment the eShop loaded onto my 3DS, the demo icon came up under my selection. Right now I do not see a place designated specifically for demos, but there should be one eventually. If you can't find it, try searching for 'demo' in the search bar at the bottom of the screen. Resident Evil: Revelations should pop up, with a nice picture of Jill with the text 'Game Demo Available' next to her. When you click on it, it will take you to a new screen with three icons. You will have to enter your date of birth first though, since it is a Mature rated game. The icon to the left is the download icon. For more information clickity click the jump! Be sure to check out the rest of the downloadable content too!...

New The Legend of Zelda NES Mod!
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
Fan art comes in all shapes, sizes, and variety. One of which is the unique and creative process of actually modding an entire console to show off. A fair amount of Nintendo mods have surfaced over the years and they all look incredible. However, a video has recently appeared showing off what is possibly the [...]

Games™’s Top 15 Video Game Consoles Of All Time, According To UK Readers
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
Our favourite game consoles aren't often determined by the quality or quantity of software, the age of the machine or the brand behind its making. But rather, we come to adore certain machines over others for the reason that any man or woman can love an inanimate object - because of our memories associated with it. The experiences we had, and the people we shared those experiences with. So, some might argue that encouraging the UK's games™ readers to submit their votes towards their all-time favourite consoles does not in fact denote any indication as to the quality of the hardware or software itself, but simply, how many people enjoyed that machine and the forms of artwork compatible with it. An entirety of factors come into play in the act of "love", and the concept of loving a machine is no different... there are simply too many to list. Head on inside to begin scrutinising the list for yourself....

Recap: That Romantic Spark
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
The most popular article series in the history of Zelda Informer is back! The last time you saw an article from "That Romantic Spark" was back in November, where I left things all ready to get into Skyward Sword once it was released. Since then there's been downtime, a big return, the new years and what not here at ZI. Now, however, it is time to get back into this series, and yes, there is much more to discuss than just Skyward Sword when it comes to romance in The Legend of Zelda. So far the series has focused on Link's potential love interests in the series (assuming Link is straight) from the original Legend of Zelda right through all fifteen main titles to Spirit Tracks. We then went on to look at what the developers had to say and what relevance romance had for the series chronology. Well, now we move on to Skyward Sword and then go much further beyond. There's plenty of life left in our most-viewed series, so within this post I've compiled brief blurbs and links to the first seven parts in the series. It's not the type of series where you need to...

‘Tales of’ Series Gets Small Announcement Next Week
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
I'm a huge fan of the Tales series, so hearing this was quite an exciting piece of news. Tales of Hearts was beyond amazing. Played that through to the very end. The chance of it being a red herring though is quite high, however, so I'm not getting too hyped. Producer Mika Murakita said to expect an announcement, but no details were given. Teasing the announcement via Twitter, Murakita will also be attending the event. Could this be a 3DS Tales game that we've been waiting for? We'll keep you updated. Kingdom Hearts 3D Has A Japanese Release Date
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
Square Enix announced today that the Kingdom Hearts 3D game will be released on March 29 for ¥6,090. Why did I not include this earlier? Because this was released by Square Enix, and has a special bundle that is worth oohing and ahhing about. It looks like the Legend of Zelda won't be the only game series to get a special anniversary box either. This year is the ten year mark for the series, and to kick it off they are selling the bundles with a Nintendo 3DS showing off a new original design. New Kingdom Hearts 3D Information Is Raining In
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
In a recent interview from Famitsu, Kingdom Hearts fans will finally be given the dessert they've been craving for. Sorry, I have a sweet tooth. The interesting bite of info found from the publication was in an interview with Tetsuya Nomura. Nomura revealed that the game has an ending that will be completely unconventional for the series. I have no idea what that could possibly mean, but it does tingle my taste buds. I need ice cream or something. Not only that, but the original ending that had been planned for the game wasn't even officially approved. There will be a secret ending to feature the connections for the next game in the series, a game that isn't even projected to come for quite a while. There was another serving dished out in the interview, and it has something to do with a wireless Dream Eater battle mode. See? Even the game knows I'm hungry. Clickity click on the jump to read about the battle mode!...

The Last Story’s Limited Edition Contents, Almost as Good as Skyward Sword’s
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
I can't believe The Last Story is almost ready to hit Europe. It seems like just yesterday that we were wondering whether it'd ever come West at all! That said, the game's getting a special limited edition release, just like Xenoblade Chronicles, and while we've already mentioned what extras it'll come with, now we're getting images and video showing off the goods. I'm personally a sucker for soundtrack CDs and official artwork, and this one comes with both. The game also comes in a snazzy steelbook case not unlike the one we got with Metroid Prime Trilogy. All in all, had Skyward Sword not featured a dead-sexy Hylian-crested gold Wii Remote, I'd have to say that this package would beat it out hands-down. (Like I said, I'm just that into official artbooks.) Then again, if Hyrule Historia ever gets localized, we'll have enough Zelda art to make up for all 25 years of lost time. If mere images don't do anything for you, hop inside for an official video detailing what comes with each version of the game....

Where Are the First-Party eShop Demos?
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
Now that the first Nintendo 3DS eShop demo download is due for release, it's time to address the elephant in the room: why hasn't Nintendo released any first-party demo downloads? While I'll agree that there's definitely more of an incentive to push third-party content with free trial software because of the difficult track record most non-Nintendo franchises have on Nintendo systems, the same struggle really applies to any game that doesn't have Mario or Zelda tacked onto the title. I've included a screenshot of Kid Icarus: Uprising at left because I think the game is a key example of the type of software that could use a demo promotion. Kid Icarus was never a popular franchise and hasn't proven to have the pre-order pull one would hope for from a series comeback. With terrible voice acting, all-over-the-place trailers, and general obscurity compared to bigger 3DS titles like Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, and Resident Evil: Revelations, I feel like a game with a lot of real potential might wind up getting overlooked. What do you guys think? Should Nintendo start releasing eShop demos for their own games as well as the third-party demos already announced? Do you think...

Zelda Artwork by Karosu-Maker
Posted On 19 Jan 2012 By admin
Deviantart user Karosu-Maker has uploaded several Zelda artwork pieces from various games. He features Link fighting Moldorm, a scene from the Gerudo Fortess, Midna and a few other pictures. My personal favorite is the one of Midna, I loved how he drew her and the details on her clothing. Blind the Thief is another one [...]
