Nintendo Download Update For February 23rd
Posted On 23 Feb 2012 By admin
Yesterday Nintendo snuck out Dillon's Rolling Western for the Nintendo eShop. It was a day sooner than the weekly download update, but I went ahead and included it in the list anyways. Besides the western we are getting a game about pushing boxes. Yeah, you are a box pusher. It's a puzzler game on DSiWare. WiiWare also has a sequel game about Gnomz, and the Demo coming out this week is for a game that has been available since the launch of the Nintendo 3DS. A Certain Robot Will Get the Spotlight Tomorrow, Hedge Your Guesses!
Posted On 22 Feb 2012 By admin
Looks like there's lots of big info on tomorrow's horizon. First Nintendo Direct, then something related to Operation Rainfall, and now rumors that a "certain robot" from a "certain video game franchise" is going to make a comeback. G4TV is slated to reveal "big news" about this franchise, whatever it is, tomorrow morning at 8:00am Eastern... which happens to be just in advance of the American version of Nintendo Direct. The mystery game is being developed by 2K Games whose PR manager had this to say: There's bazillions of reasons to keep your eyes peeled tomorrow to see a certain robot doing his thing... Some early guessers think the announcement might be Mega Man related, possibly on the 3DS - it'd work nicely with Nintendo's plans to invigorate dormant third-party franchises - but what do you think it means? (NOTE: Despite the article image, I don't actually think it has anything to do with R.O.B.)...

Outside Nintendo: PlayStation 4 Won’t be at E3, Next Xbox Codenamed "Durango"
Posted On 19 Feb 2012 By admin
Sony has been shooting down rumors all year that the PS4 would make its debut at E3, and this time Jack Tretton, who heads the American branch of Sony Computer Entertainment stated rather plainly that he would be too distracted to even talk about the PS4 this year, essentially confirming that the system won't be revealed this year, let alone at E3. "I, quite frankly, would be very distracted if I had to be talking about next generation hardware this year," Tretton told IGN. "Right now, we're focused on PlayStation 3, and I've got [the PS Vita] to get out the door in seven days, so I don't want to be thinking about trying to launch new technology anytime soon." While I have slowly come around to the PlayStation 3's offerings, I admit that I don't think Sony really needs to push a new console out right now. They can last easily until 2015 with what they presently offer. That being said, it's not as if Microsoft is ready to stay out of the spotlight. Hop inside to see what's going on with their next behemoth. ...

Pokemon X Nobunaga’s Ambition: New Trailer and Pairings
Posted On 19 Feb 2012 By admin
Here's something we've negelected to post: a couple days ago a new trailer was released for Pokemon X Nobunaga's Ambition. For those who don't remember, this new Pokemon title was announced a few months back, but it isn't a Pokemon game in the fashion that we've become accustomed to. Instead, this game pairs up Pokemon with famous warloards and other figures from Japanese history, a strange yet interesting concept that could warrant good results. ...

Sakaguchi: Last Story Sequel Possibilities,Tired of Talking Final Fantasy, & More
Posted On 18 Feb 2012 By admin
Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi recently made an appearance at a special pre-BAFTA event for his latest project, The Last Story, which will soon be released for the Wii in Europe and still remains unannounced for North America. As with Final Fantasy, The Last Story's title reflects the idea that the game could be the last game the team ever work on, and therefore, they should give it their all to make it the game to end all games. However, Final Fantasy was not the last video game, and sequels continue to be made. Naturally, the question about whether or not the universe of The Last Story will continue to be explored was bound to come up eventually. ...
